Last chance to secure your spot at AgXchange Australia with just one week until the bush meets the beach and the future of farming takes centre stage. From September 23-25, more than 50 high-impact speakers will converge for the National Farmers’ Federation’s biennial flagship event.
Expect a roll call of familiar names and sharp, fresh voices including:
- Olly ‘Blogs’ Harrison, the UK farmer-entrepreneur and social media powerhouse who helped bring 50,000 farmers together to rally against their government’s proposed inheritance tax.
- Hon Julie Collins MP, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
- Billy Slater, former rugby league legend and current coach, bringing lessons on leadership and resilience beyond sport.
- Roger Fletcher, export powerhouse, offering insight into international trade from the frontline.
- A strong farmer’s voice: David Connolly (General Manager, Tipperary Group of Stations NT), Fiona Simson (farmer and board director), Nat Sommerville (farmer, Windjara Ag), Karen Penfold (Four Daughters Beef).
The speakers span every corner of the agriculture sector: growers, scientists, business leaders and policy makers. They’ll dive into the big issues farmers are facing now and what’s ahead across innovation, sustainability, trade, workforce, mental health and connectivity.
Amid the panels and keynotes, AgXchange will host the Debate Showdown where four fearless industry leaders in two teams will take on one polarising question: “Do the lack of subsidies make Australian farmers more efficient, or simply more exposed?”
Affirmative:
- Martin Murray – sharp-witted farmer and well-known #agchatoz voice, dubbed the silver-haired assassin of the debate stage.
- Felicity Richards – Tasmanian farmer and fearless advocate on farm safety, known for taking on the tough conversations.
Negative:
- Gillian Fennell – outback cattle producer and social media force, known for her quick clapbacks and fearless opinions.
- David ‘DJ’ Jochinke – the farmer who leads Australia’s peak farm body, no stranger to standing firm with both stock and politicians.
