The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) is committed to growing the community’s understanding of agriculture. Building trust in the sector starts with improving awareness of where food and fibre come from, the role farmers play in caring for the environment, and the contribution agriculture makes to Australia’s economy and regional communities.
By working with industry, schools, government and the broader community, the NFF helps strengthen connections between Australians and the agricultural sector. In order to grow awareness and understanding, the NFF leads a number of special projects and initiatives.
In 2021, the National Farmers’ Federation supported the Wheen Bee Foundation to establish Bee Friendly Farming Australia. This program recognises the important work Australian farmers do to protect, preserve and promote pollinators. It also provides guides and resources for farmers to promote pollinator health on their farms.
Agriculture plays a vital role in Australia, contributing to our social, economic and environmental sustainability.
