The NFF is of the view that a successful bilateral agreement with the UK could provide a significant increase in export value to Australian farmers. Australia is a competitive agricultural exporter, with around two thirds of total production exported. Given Australia’s food and fibre industry’s heavy reliance on international trade, it is critically important that government continue to work with industry to maximise Australia’s trade opportunities under current international trade architecture.
