The NFF’s 12 September 2012 submission to the Climate Change Authority’s Renewable Energy Target Review issues paper agrees with the Productivity Commissions’ recommendation that those policies that lead to increased costs with little benefits due to the introduction of the carbon price – such as the Renewable Energy Targets – be terminated or immediately phased out to help reduce the cost price pressures on electricity suppply.
