Description: The Future Drought Fund (FDF) presents a welcome and important investment in building long-term drought resilience in Australia. The FDF’s ability to achieve this outcome will rest on how FDF funds are allocated. The NFF seeks changes to the legislation to require the Agriculture Minister to establish a FDF Consultative Committee that is responsible for designing the first and subsequent Drought Resilience Funding Plans The Consultative Committee would also provide the Agriculture Minister, along with the Regional Investment Corporation, with advice on which drought resilience measures to support.
