The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) will this week attend six farming and agriculture, water and natural resource management conferences across three states.
NFF President Jock Laurie will be in Melbourne, VIC, on the morning of Wednesday 18 April for the National and Global Food Security Roundtable hosted by the Global Foundation, followed by the Blueprint for Australian Agriculture forum in Shepparton, VIC, on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr Laurie will then travel to Bendigo for the Victorian Farmers’ Federation annual conference, where he will speak on Friday 20 April about the role of the NFF in national agricultural representation.
Meanwhile, NFF CEO Matt Linnegar will present at the 4th National Natural Resource Management (NRM) Knowledge conference in Adelaide, SA, tomorrow (Tuesday 17 April) along with Chair of the NFF Sustainability Committee Gerald Leach.
Mr Linnegar will then travel to Ballarat, VIC, for the New Rural Industries Australia conference on Thursday 19 April, where he will seek input into the Blueprint from Australia’s emerging and developing agricultural sectors.
And NFF’s Policy Manager for NRM, Deb Kerr, will speak at the Australian Water Congress in Sydney on Wednesday 18 April on the proposed Murray-Darling Basin Plan and the need to balance agricultural and environmental requirements.
