The NFF’s 21 September 2009 submission to the Inquiry into the Impacts of Mining in the Murray-Darling Basin acknowledges that while agriculture and mining can co-exist, better rules of engagement and research are needed to assess the economic, social and environmental impacts of mining in regional Australia.
