If you are considering support for farmers or regional communities impacted by natural disasters, such as flood, fire and drought, there are several registered charities you can turn to. Some focus specifically on assisting farmers, while others provide broader support to rural communities.

While NFF does not specifically endorse any single charity, the links below are to registered charities involved in disaster relief efforts.

Rural Aid

A leading rural charity offering practical support such as hay, water, financial aid, and mental health counselling. They also run community resilience programs to help farmers recover and rebuild.

Farm Angels (formerly Drought Angels)

Provides financial assistance, food hampers, care packs, and mental wellbeing support to primary producers affected by natural disasters across Australia.

Aussie Helpers

Supports farming families and communities through tough times with services including fodder and water deliveries, financial aid, and mental health support.

Disaster Relief Australia

Deploys veteran-led volunteer teams to assist with disaster response and recovery efforts, including rebuilding infrastructure and providing community support.

Mates at the Gate

A not-for-profit organisation dedicated to assisting Australian farmers during challenging times, including droughts, floods, and fires. They aim to provide essential support when it is needed most.

Operates the FarmHand Heroes program, providing targeted assistance to farmers dealing with flooding and drought, and organises events to boost local economies in disaster-affected areas.

Rapid Relief Team (RRT)

Country Women’s Association (CWA)

BlazeAid

Mental Health Support
