Our Board

Meet our Board

The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) Board was elected on 24 November 2016 and has responsibility for the day-to-day management of the organisation, including: 

Oversight of the NFF’s annual budget; Implementing and setting the priorities for the NFF Business Plan; Establishing committees and taskforces; Receiving advice from the Members’ Council, Policy Committees and the NFF Secretariat; and appointing the Chief Executive Officer.

The NFF Board comprises of the NFF President and NFF Vice-President, along with five Directors, all elected annually by the Members’ Council. 

Two independent Directors may be appointed by the Board, as required, to ensure the necessary balance of skills.

Fiona Simson

Fiona Simson

Fiona Simson is a farmer from the Liverpool Plains in NSW where she, husband Ed and family run a mixed farming enterprise including broad acre farming and breeding commercial poll Hereford cattle.

Tony York

Director

Tony York

Tony York is a third generation farmer from the central Wheatbelt town of Tammin where he farms more than 12,000ha of wheat, barley, canola, various legumes and a merino-based sheep flock with his brother Simon.

David Jochinke

David Jochinke

David Jochinke is a third generation grain and livestock farmer from in north west Victoria. David was elected as Vice President of the National Farmers’ Federation in November 2017 after serving as a Director for a number of years.

Mark King

Director

Mark King

Mark King is a third generation dried fruit grower and has a 100-hectare family farm growing sultanas and currants at Pomona, located in the far south west corner of NSW.

Tony Hegarty

Director

Tony Hegarty

Tony runs a family beef enterprise at Cassilis in the Hunter Valley of NSW. He has been involved in a range of primary production enterprises at grassroots and business management levels in the Hunter Valley since completing a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from Sydney University in 1980.

Lisa Minogue

Director

Lisa Minogue

Mrs Minogue operates a mixed farming enterprise of 2500ha in Barmedman in south west NSW with her husband and 2 teenage sons. She has a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from University of New England, Diplomas in Financial Counselling and Community Services, Cert. IV in Training and Assessing. Mrs Minogue spent 9 years as a Rural Financial Counsellor

Robyn Bryant

Robyn Bryant

A cattle producer from South West Queensland, Robyn joined the NFF Board in 2018. Ensuring a strong and sustainable future for Australian farmers is a key focus for Bryant.

Andrea Koch

Independent Director

Andrea Koch

Andrea grew up in in a fifth generation farming family and am passionate about Australian agriculture. Her professional experience includes 15 years in marketing and product development with IBM, Optus and News Limited, and six years leading a soil policy think tank program at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney.
