The NFF does not hold any notable concerns with the proposed rule changes and additions to the Guideline, specific comments to key matters of interest are articulated in the proceeding sections below. It is important to note, however, that proposed rules will create additional step procedures for entities to undertake and comply with to achieve Climate Active certification. An appropriate balance between rules establishment and participation viability must be achieved to ensure the Guideline does not discourage prospective businesses from voluntarily seeking Climate Active Certification.
