The NFF supports the role of the APVMA in ensuring that AgVet chemicals sold in Australia are safe and effective. The NFF believes further detail surrounding the APVMA’s financial forecasts and assumptions is needed to justify any changes in cost recovery structures. As such, the NFF does not support any of the APVMA’s cost recovery proposals at this point. The NFF is open to working with the APVMA to ensure that cost recovery arrangements suitably resource the AVPMA to undertake its regulatory responsibilities.
