A well-resourced and effective biosecurity system is crucial to the success of Australia’s agriculture industries and to the health of our environment and general society.
The NFF supports the need for a fully and sustainably funded biosecurity system, where all governments collaborate more effectively and transparently with industry to protect Australia from increasing biosecurity threats.
The NFF urges investment be directed to areas where it is most needed, including for real-time monitoring and communication, and seeks the consideration of new co-funding agreements for biosecurity preparedness and surveillance.
