The NFF’s 11 April 2011 submission on the Carbon Farming Initiative and carbon credits acknowledges that the Government has listened to the farm sector in modifying its CFI proposal to ensure genuine abatement opportunities at not unnecessarily overlooked. However, some issues remain and the NFF calls on the Senate Committees to interrogate these to ensure perverse outcomes and unnecessary costs are avoided.
