National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) Board Director and QLD sheepmeat, wool and beef producer, Brent Finlay, has been appointed as the NFF Vice President, following Duncan Fraser’s appointment to the NFF top job.
Mr Finlay, who was President of QLD agricultural representative body and NFF member, AgForce, from 2010-12, runs ‘Cooinda,’ a sheepmeat, wool and beef property in the Traprock region of south east Queensland, with his three daughters.
Mr Finlay has more than 25 years experience in agriculture, having worked extensively in sheep, wool, cattle, grain and hay production, and 13 years in agricultural representation, in which he rose through the ranks from his local wool association to President of AgForce, and now NFF Vice President.
Mr Finlay takes over the position of Vice President from Duncan Fraser, who has stepped into the position of NFF President. Mr Fraser and Mr Finlay hold their positions until the next NFF election, to be held at the NFF Members’ Council AGM in November 2013.
