Inquiry into Environmental Biosecurity

The NFF 22 August 2014 Submission says that agriculture would benefit from a meaningful structure to create policies and actions designed to prevent the incursions of new species, and assist stamping out species considered eradicable.

A holistic approach, as against the current ‘often piecemeal’ method of dealing with incursions, is strongly preferred and would complement the Animal Health Australia and Plant Health Australia systems.
