The Plan, developed over a two year period in consultation with the National Education and Skills Taskforce and Rural Skills Australia, brings together key industry labour market demographics and identifies existing gaps in the agricultural labour market. The Plan also calls for the creation of a new national body to oversee the development and coordination of sustainable and effective long term workforce strategies for the sector.
